I don't think I'll ever grow tired of the Bruce. With its crystal clear waters, magnificent grottos, wild cliffs, intriguing caves and blinding white limestone boulders, the Bruce is by far my favourite summer place. On sweltering hot summer days like last week you can swear you were in the mediterranean! Last week I drove up to Tobermory to surprise Jon. He had ended his Toronto-to-Tobermory cycling tour and we had planned it that I would come up on Thursday to pick him up and hang out at the Bruce for the day. Instead, I opted out on the Hollertronix party wed. night and drove 3 hrs north to Tobermory all the way in 3rd gear!! (err..Japanese car makers! thank goodness the car didn't overheat) Anyway, I totally surprised Jon...finally!! We spent the night swimming and stargazing and then the following day snorkelling for ship wrecks and Bruce (the 3-headed lake montser). mwha-haha!!

Today is officially the first day of summer, the longest day of the year aaaaaand one more day away from the weekend (I couldn't think of any other significance but Thursday is helluva good excuse to celebrate). I asked Jon and he replied instantly, "Its our anniversary!" and I responded, "really? NOoooo its not!" (as if I really fell for it!). What a joker! Summer is really my favourite season and when it gets hot, I get really dark! No kidding! I'm really looking forward to more Bruce action, a little bit of beach, a little bit of patioing, tennis, blading, parties, pool, and most of all less clothing...ooohhh ya!
So , I really got my ass in gear this time and FINALLY uploaded pictures from Mexico and ones from the past weekend with my nephews. Mexico was a blast! We stayed in Mexico City for 3 days and spent 4 days Sayulita. It was a week well spent. We saw Inga compete for Miss Universe, climbed some pryamids, fended off solicitors selling anything they can get a buck or for "almost free" to give to your "mother in-law", surfed and ate where the locals ate. Nuff said! Pictures are worth a thousand words. Have a looky....
(btw: we would have taken A LOT more pics in Sayulita but I didn't bring my laptop and we only had a 1GB card on us! errr!! And big thanks to Andrew for saving us with the surfing pics. Top of the day to ya lad!! And big claps to Sheila for being so organized with the itinary stuff and utilizing Excel spreadsheet!)
After last weekend's birthday blowout I was so looking forward to the long weekend. Three days of proactively sleeping in and getting caught up on "nothingness". Well, I did have a short list of "to-dos". Things that involved shopping, music and fitness were all done without procastinating. Laundry, however, is still awaiting my attention. Same with cleaning.
Anyway, the reason for this short entry is that I wanna share with you my new mixtape. Its been awhile since my last one and I needed new music for our surfing trip in Mexico next week. I hope you enjoy or it at least I hope it makes ya wanna snap yo fingas and tap your feet lol!
Thank you everyone that came out Saturday night to celebrate the birthdays of Sheila, Rajmy and I. It was great to see everyone. It was especially nice to see Julian again, who in the past 3.5 months had been travelling in Asia. In a short while he'll be leaving us again for the UK for his new love of english muffins and tea :) Good to know he'll be in good hands with Julie.
Official count down to Mexico starts today, only 10 more sleeps! All the best to Inga who has been in Mexico since the beginning of May touring, shooting and prepping for Miss Universe. We miss you lots and can't wait to see you in Mee-he-ko. And we can't wait to hang out with her when she returns home as Miss Universe ;) !! 26 pics posted
You may have noticed my last entry was over a month ago and may be wondering what's up? Yes, I've been bad and neglectful. I just got caught up on a few new sites (ahem...facebook and flickr) but they don't even come close to you! I promise, promise to make it up to you although I think you could use a make over but that however is my fault not yours. I'm planning a new design and to take better care of you. For now, I'm gonna update your playlist (see the Headphones icon at the bottom) because music and photos are the things that turns our wheels.
To answer all of you that wrote and asked what's up with my photos, I now have it password protected in order to keep those "bad" pictures I've taken of you ;) from getting out and into celebrity gossip sites such as The Superficial - Because You're Ugly and Pink Is The New Blog. LOL! If your a friend and would like to view the pics please email me for the username and password. If you're not a friend but would like to see pics you can view my flickr portfolio. For the time being, this is how it'll be. Thanks for your understanding.

Well, what the hell can I say about The Bastard Fairies, apart from they have a great name.
Twisted nursery rhyme style songs sung with a tongue dripping with sarcastic, mischievous intent...
"Naughty but nice, sweet and sour, beautifully macabre, wonderfully morose. Like a baby with a razor blade..." That about sums them up, well it doesn't, but you'll get a better idea when you listen to the tracks.
The Bastard Fairies are a duo comprising of Yellow Thunder Woman (translation of her Indian name Wakinyan Zi Win) & Robin Davey, who between them are award winning filmakers, their film "The Canary Effect" won the Stanley Kubric award for bold and innovative film making last year.
They also between them have a very giving nature as not only are there a ton of pictures on their myspace page to ogle over, but their album "Memento Mori" (which these two tracks are taken from) is being given away absolutely FREE...
And considering there's not a single dodgy track on it you can't possibly not go and download it, and truly enjoy it.
How have they not been snapped up by some cunning label with an eye and ear for something a little different I'll never know!
Maybe they like it this way.
Big birthday wishes to my favourite gal, Inga! You are the best. I love you! Hope you have a great year!
Yesterday was the official Ink day but we really celebrated on Saturday with dinner at Veni Vidi Vici, drinks and cake at my place and then over to Stones Place for some Big Primpin' action. It was a fun filled night with lots of icing! :) 34 pics posted
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wish everyone love, peace, health, happiness and good fortune in 2007. I spent New Year's Eve in the company of good friends, dancing our asses off to the best DJ in the world, Diplo! and the best part was, the place was only stumbling distance away from home! 26 pics posted
According to freewill astrology, my 2007 outlook is as follows:
"Taurus: It's possible you'll live for 150 years. Scientific studies on how to outwit the aging process are generating increasingly compelling data, and so is psychospiritual research into the attitudes and emotions that encourage longevity. The coming year will be prime time for you to make yourself aware of these explorations, and to adjust your lifestyle accordingly. Here are two places to start your investigation: (1) the article "I'm Going to Live Forever;" (2) the book Fantastic Voyage: Live Long Enough to Live Forever, by Ray Kurzweil and Terry Grossman." - Sounds intriguing. Maybe I will take Lukasz up on his methods of meditating in order to align my pyschospiritual realms with that of the physical?
